If you have not been here before, you may not know that the blue underlined list of words to the left, is used to link (or navigate) to the other pages of our Web site. You will find the same list on every page, and so you can use you mouse to "click" on any of the pages and jump from page to page, forwards and backwards. So wherever you are on our Web site, just "click" on the About Us page, and you will be returned to this Home Page. The Members Only page link occurs on this Home page only. After viewing the Members Only page, a mouse click on HOME in the top left corner will return you to this page. Members may contact the President (Beverley) or the Secretary for the password. About Us
Our aim is to provide an introduction, training, self-help assistance, and advice on all aspects of computer use. We offer a friendly service (within the scope of the expertise of the club) to anyone over 50 years of age to learn at his or her own pace. There is no pressure to keep up with others. All our facilitators are members of the club who give their time voluntarily and without payment. Beginner
sessions operate as groups in a room using a data
projector and screen. Members then follow this with courses in
Word Processing, Email and the Internet. These
groups are hands on, using networked computers. Other short courses are
run on Photography and Publishing. More advanced groups
are provided for, and these topics (or subjects) are advertised in the
monthly newsletter.
Bookings must be made for most sessions. More information is available
by contacting the President or Secretary.
We Need Your HelpTo make navigation simpler, all the pages of this Web site follow the same basic structure.
You will note that the Web site has a soft colour scheme. Background colour and images can add to the appearance of a Web site, BUT can interfere with your reading of the page. Bess Sampson suggested "a nice soft blue or lilac" and recommended using a bright yellow for more urgent messages. The topics chosen for the various sections of the Web site are suggestions. What are your thoughts on these? Do you have other suggestions?
